Afghan railway terminals from above

The two railway terminals in Afghanistan are now visible at a half-decent resolution in Google Earth.

Hayratan

Unfortunately the eastern-most part of the railway line is still low-resolution, including the Friendship Bridge from Uzbekistan. Some sidings are visible, but no trains.

There is more to see on the line from Turkmenistan, with lots of sidings and buildings, and various wagons.

  1. I am very impressed and Trans Afghan Railways is one of my dreams of my 4 grown children. I tried very much to get the government attracted but apparantly they are under imergency needs. But I have got some private businessman and regional businesses who are interested to join the state and some other companies too build the Afghna Train connecting Sherkhanbandar to kunduz Hayratan,Mazar, maimana, turghundi herta, Islamqala, qndahar, tspinbuldak, kghazni kbul, and Bagram
Now it is perfect time to connect the regional railroads, the newly liberated states of central asia with subcontinent and the world free market.
I think just the transit revenue from this tarns railway would be quite promissing to all domistic and international stakeholders. From turkmenistan the rail has entered 25 KM inside Afghanistan to Turghundi. I believe Iran has agreed to extend it from Mashad to Herat. I made a 3 dimension map of to convince the authorities that a horse shoe railroud via kunduz, mazarherat kandahar chaman , kabul is possible ,. but they dont seem to understand it but My family has planned to pool efforts and make this happen by 2025.Although 2 previous attempts one in 1920s and one in 1970s failed but some one needs to do it . and now with the presence of international forces and economic visions it is perfect time. Once it is built it become a factor of stability for all .HAPPY NEW YEAR You have done a wonder full job for andwe have a lot to talk and may be do to that effect. regards
