Unfortunately there is no definition of &#8220;near future&#8221;! <\/p>\n<p>A previous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.andrewgrantham.co.uk\/afghanistan\/2516\/herat-railway-still-some-way-off\/\">report earlier this year<\/a> suggested that a lot of work was still required within Afghan territory.
