Some pictures at the Derelict Places website showing the Fullwell WW1 Sound Mirror near Sunderland. “Today the mirror has been long forgotten, situated at the end of some allotments and nature has taken over”.
This mirror is undergoing renovation and the removal of all the overgrown shrubbery. I am currently working with various people to build up a history and useage of these mirrors. This mirror is likely to have been fitted in late 1916 after a Zeplin raid killed people in Sunderland in July.
